Description

Apartment located in the splendid Piazza de' Pitti, which is completely dominated by the imposing figure of Palazzo Pitti, is one of the most important squares in the Oltrarno district; the neighborhood is full of artisan shops and excellent places to try the typical Tuscan cuisine and its specialties. The apartment is really very large, it is perfect for a family or a group of friends who wish to visit the city on foot, and get to know its splendid museums and its art, and at the same time have fun and taste the good Tuscan cuisine in the many venues in the area.
Equipment: Very large and bright apartment, recently renovated and furnished with care. Kitchen equipped with appliances, 3 bathrooms, large common area, courtyard inside the apartment. Perfect up to a maximum of 8 people (1 sofa bed that sleeps 2). The apartment is equipped with air conditioning in the bedrooms and WiFi connection (the single room shares the air conditioning of the living room).
The Oltrarno district:
Our apartment is located in the historic Oltrarno district, one of the most traditional in the city, which has been able to maintain authentic traits and characters, among the favorites of the Florentines who call it with the all-Tuscan nickname "Diladdarno".
Tourist attractions are certainly not lacking and offer cultural itineraries for all tastes:
the Brancacci Chapel in the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine with the splendid frescoes by Masaccio, Masolino and Filippino Lippi, as well as the Church of San Frediano in Cestello, or the Church of Santa Felicita, with the altarpiece by Pontormo.
Many museums: Palazzo Pitti hosts most of them, from the Palatine Gallery to the Costume Gallery, to the Modern Art Gallery, to the Silver Museum.
It is a green neighborhood with gardens and open spaces, such as the marvelous Boboli garden and the garden of Villa Bardini, with an incredible view over all of Florence. You cannot miss a walk to the Church of San Miniato al Monte, the highest in the whole city, and to the nearby Piazzale Michelangelo with a panorama that everyone envies us.
The food and wine stops are just as rich and offer a lot of satisfaction: from typical trattorias such as the 4 Leoni, Il Santo Bevitore, Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco, Il Magazzino, to ice cream parlors and cafes, such as the famous Gelateria della Passera, the Caffè degli Artigiani, the Obsequium wine shop and the various rooms that overlook the picturesque and full of life Piazza Santo Spirito
Transport and services:
Our apartment is inside the ZTL area, "limited traffic" in a pedestrian area, there is no possibility of access by car, but it will be enough to go to a private garage.
The public bus service in Florence is provided by Autolinee Toscane, the cost of the ticket is €1.50 for a single journey in the city and you can find it in a Tabaccaio (shop with a T outside).
