This spectacular mid-century villa is nestled in a wood on private grounds, with stunning views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains.We can also provide catering with excellent local chef swho uses organic vegetables from our garden where possible. Please ask. For larger groups there are 4 other villas nearby. Please inquire.
Villa Ponti is a mid-Century house designed in collaboration with one of Italy’s most famous architects, Gio Ponti. It has been carefully renovated to retain as many original features of the period as possible.
Three of the six bedrooms have lake views (one with double exposure and three with lakeside balconies). Three have cedar forest views, with two of these having garden access. 4 bedrooms have ensuites and 2 share a bathroom (2 separate toilets)
The forest side of the house is cool in summer and affords a tranquil view of the garden.
There is also a basic custodians two bedroom lake view apartment with external access, suitable for staff, children and teenagers since it is not of the same standard as the main villa. This has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room and very small kitchen. It is an additional rate to the 6 bedrooms in the main villa. If you want to inquire about booking this please ask. It is not part of this listing and we only rent it occasionally.
Please note rates may not cover the full cost of heating (house and hot tub) and air conditioning. Up to 30 euros/day these are covered but to e courage responsible energy use, anything over this amount is , which is charged according to consumption with a metre reading sent to guests before and after their stay.
About the Rooms
Three rooms have lake views and balcony/sitting areas. Two of these have ensuites and one shares a bathroom with one other garden facing room.Three cedar forest facing bedrooms, two with ensuites and doors to the outside to enjoy the Japanese garden.
