Read moreRob 05 Jul, 2025We found the accommodation to benice and clean upon our arrival apart from there was a strong dog smell, which gradually got better as our 4 days stay went on. Some nice smelly diffusers may have helped? We were pleased we had two bedrooms to choose from as the front bedroom would have been quite noisy with the heavy lorries passing through Settle. We had to keep the window shut in the lounge too because of this when we were in the property. Some additional cutlery and waste bins would have been useful with only the one under sink. There was a shortage of sockets in the kitchen area and this area required more lighting too. A wardrobe in the back bedroom would be a good addition as there is plenty of space and dressing tables to sit at with a mirror above in both bedrooms would also be a good idea. However, we found it the perfect base to explore the area and having the carpark so close was very convenient too. The shower facilities were excellent and generally the room is ok however you have only got to spend a little bit of money on this place and it could be amazing. the leather sofas are tired and peeling. Lovely big park directly opposite. House was small but very clean and bed was comfortable. Only small things really - the kitchen bin would not stay closed, which may have contributed to the slightly musty smell. In the bathroom, the towel radiator is not securely attached to the wall, and if the bath is slippy, there is then nothing to hold on to as you get in/out.
