The two bedroom upstairs had a stunning view overlooking the pool. There was also a parking spot available which made it very convenient We did have to buy our own laundry detergent, hand soap, etc as it was not provided. The laundry machine required cleaning before we used it. House keeping would have been a nice added service if it was available as an option. If we ran into any issues we were able to reach out via email and have it resolved. Gångavstånd till byns restauranger, mataffärer mm. Vi badade inte vid stranden, klappersten och ganska så stora vågor när vi var där utan vi hyrde bil. Parkering vid boendet var enkelt. Vi lagade även mat hemma och satt ute på altanen. Ska tilläggas att boendet ligger nära inflygningen till flygplatsen. The villa itself feels new and is very spacious with tastefully curated furniture throughout. It is also very well stocked. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and both the gym and pool truly wonderful. It may have been the timer of year, but there were few people using them too, so it felt semi-private. There is a Eurospin grocery only 15 minutes away where you can get anything you want for meals, and gelato in Poppi just 15-20 minutes away. Novella was so hospitable, helpful, and responsive. Without mentioning every little thing, here are my primary comments: - We are regular travelers and I am in the travel profession- We rent a number of homes throughout the year, so I have seen many kinds of accommodations. - I asked for but did not receive timely check in instructions. I was requested to print them, but it was on the check in day that I finally received the email while I was driving. - I would have liked to know ahead of time that there was no toiletries, paper towels, napkins, rubbish bags, charcoal for grill, etc. I could have picked them up on the way to the home. - There were no towels provided for the pool, and a request by owner not to use a bath towel? We traveled 6000 miles with carry on luggage. We shouldn’t have to buy them. They could be provided with a refundable deposit and laundered with everything else. - light bulbs were missing, handles on doors and cabinet were grimy, bathroom door is damaged and does not close or open, plants outdoors have not been cleaned up , trimmed, etc. General upkeep indoors and out was sorely lacking -The worst thing was the smell of mildew all over the kitchen as soon as lower cabinets were opened. We had to keep what we were using sitting out, as the smell permeated the home. Please know that this is intended to inform the owner, and for your future business. Read moreEvelyn Anne 16 Jun, 2025The villa was charming in many ways, it was very clean, the pool was in good condition, and Glisteri beach was very nice. We were not told that the water was not drinkable and no bottled water was provided to get us “started” until we could purchase some. Likewise, there were no basic supplies in the kitchen such as coffee or filters, or trash can liners. The distance to town and grocery stores isn’t that far, but if you’re not used to driving on narrow mountain roads that have hairpin turns and that are quite steep in some areas it can be quite harrowing when another vehicle comes around the bend at high speed. Count on 20 minute drive the 1st time. Though the owner recommended stopping for “supplies” before they proceeding to the villa, we had no room in the rental car for anything besides the four of us and our suitcases (I wouldn’t recommend anything larger than a compact auto because the roads are so narrow). Having rented several properties in Europe, I was surprised at the lack of basics provided. We respected the owner’s request not to remove towels from the house so we purchased beach towels in town. A house with a pool and a nearby beach (about 1/2 km away) should provide beach towels because they take up lots of space in luggage. There are no instructions on how to operate the washing machine (it is labeled in German) so we used google translate, but it didn’t spin properly and we had to wring out clothes before hanging to dry.
