We officially launched on October 16 2012 and soon we realised how competitive and demanding the online travel market is. It's true that the majority of startups have limited sources of funding and we soon realised that there was a huge gap between a good idea and a sustainable company. Therefore we quickly understood that every strategic step needed to bring as much impact as possible for our company. Efficiency works as the sixth sense of your company, giving it the competitive advantage in order to develop step-by-step. We set up our booking procedure to work automatically and in the most efficient and secure way, without our customer support team getting involved and spending time and money on chasing every single case. We also had to be very careful in terms of spending on marketing. We found advertising through social media brought us more efficiency, being the best way to increase brand awareness at the lowest possible cost. We're able to focus on a specific group of people, and tailor our marketing to their ages and interests. Social media has given us the opportunity to save a lot of money from a mass marketing expenditure, giving us the same result. It has therefore made us work a lot more efficiently.
