Calm, shallow waters and a sheltered reef make it a safe and colorful spot for beginners and seasoned snorkelers alike. Sea turtles are frequent visitors here, and you’ll find vibrant coral gardens teeming with tropical fish just steps from the shore. For surfers, the northern end of the bay offers a popular surf break where you can watch or join the locals riding waves.

In the cooler upland slopes, you’ll find the legendary Kona coffee farms, where the island’s most celebrated beans are grown.
