ASTRID 29 Jul, 2025Can you imagine planning a family vacation for months and then arriving to be so disappointed about the place you booked so that you need to find other accommodations in a hurry disrupting your vacation? My priority was to solve our accommodations, but now that has become our "pre-paid unacceptable booked hosts" fighting argument on not giving us the appropriate refund. Their expectation was for us to cancel our travel plans to informing them immediately of the multiple problems. Not acceptable! Full Review below: Our experience was deeply disappointing and fell well below acceptable standards for a vacation rental, ultimately forcing our group of five to leave after just one night and pay out-of-pocket for last-minute hotel accommodations. Unfortunately, the photos of the listing do not reflect the current state of the property, which made us feel misled as we arrived and walked through the apartment. But that was the least of our concerns. There were bigger issues: • The main (small) A/C unit was outdated, barely cooled the apartment, and made a loud, constant noise that was disruptive and even made it hard to sleep. • Both bathrooms were not well maintained and had visible mold making us hesitant to use them. • The final straw: my daughter and I woke up with BEDBUG BITES!!! The hosts (Andrei and Alina) were nice and responsive at booking and during arrival, and once we emailed our disappointment, they initially responded with “intent to address the situation”. However, the communication dropped off once we returned the keys earlier than our schedule departure, as per their request. Despite multiple follow-ups, they ultimately finally responded declining to issue any refund. We understand that wear and tear happen, but vacation rentals should be maintained with care and hygiene in mind. This experience impacted our time in Barcelona so negatively that we hope others can avoid a similar situation. It was dirty, small, outdated, uncomfortable beds, and only two gross towels per person. I felt dirty just being there. I had to leave and find a hotel to stay at. I lost thousands of dollars and will never use travel staytion again. I also tried calling and never was given a return call. Read moreDeb 01 Dec, 2021I almost do not want to tell you how perfect this place is! The location is wonderful, the apartment is just as shown in the pictures. The terrace is wonderful with a view of the rooftops and even the sea in the distance. The apartment itself is so cute. It is advertised as one bedroom and a pull out couch. It is even better. There is a separate pull out couch in a separate cove so you still have your couch in the living room. I would only suggest a Smart TV.
