Description

The Santa Croce and Sant'Ambrogio quarters:
The Santa Croce area is one of the four historic districts of Florence, located in the southeast quadrant of the city. It is a small neighborhood whose emblem is represented by the basilica of Santa Croce, the largest Franciscan church in the world, which gives its name to the entire area.
The surroundings offer picturesque views and numerous points of interest such as the
Bargello Museum, Casa Buonarroti, Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Museum, and Ponte Vecchio.
It is an ideal place to enjoy a day of shopping, among the countless leather goods shops, the artisan shops, the S. Ambrogio market, the second market after the San Lorenzo one and the famous and characteristic flea market in Piazza de' Ciompi.
Very wide range of restaurants, such as Cibreo, Enoteca Pinchiorri, Gastone and many other more popular solutions.
The Florentine nightlife has in Santa Croce one of the liveliest and most varied expressions of the whole city, with open-air venues, pubs, disco bars, where young people and many foreigners love to meet.
Transport and services:
Our apartment is inside the ZTL area, "limited traffic" and to be able to access it and park your car in peace and safety, just contact a private garage to be able to obtain a temporary access permit.
The public bus service in Florence is provided by Autolinee Toscane, the cost of the ticket is €1.50 for a single journey in the city and you can find it in a Tabaccaio (shop with a T outside).
