We were confused about the laundry machine and wrote the owner so we didn’t break anything but never got a response and just figured it out. The elevator is small but convenient for taking up and down your luggage. The AC worked great which was so nice since it was so hot! One should have a car or else pay 35-50 euros to get to town. Lots of stairs!!! No AC in the main living area. It’s gated, but make sure to have the key fob with you at all times for ease to getting into and out of the property. There is no access to the pool from the patio. There were so many ants in the kitchen, saw them as soon as we arrived. The master shower with the window is MOLDY and the property manager didn’t even know. Which tells me, they don’t really inspect the property before renting it out! The water in both of the master bedroom showers is slow to drain which creates backup! One door and one window has no covering so prepare to wake up in the bright sunshine at 6am!!! I’m very picky with hotel and also with Airbnb, so I always take time to choose the best I can but always I feel scary how the place will be. But with our experience in Maison Don Rafa in Positano was fenomenal , the Villa was neat, everything in place, the view was spectacular, the owner was incredibly , they were ready to answered any questions we had , the location more than perfect we were surrounded with amazing restaurants, one is II Barilotto hotel and restaurant was perfect for breakfast, the other one San Pietro also hotel and restaurant amazing, perfect for a romantic dinner with a beautiful view. The other one is call La taverna de Leon , very good food , great services and spectacular kitchen that you can see from the table the chef cooking . All that restaurant are walking distance from the Villa Maison Don Rafa. The bus stop almost in front of the Villa. We are highly recommending that Villa . Having 3.5 bathrooms was a plus and the five of us all slept comfortably. Plenty of food and beverage options within a short distance. We took photos of BLACK shower mat after 1 shower the floor was so dirty. Tiles were broken and lifted presenting a dangerous tripping challenge. While we requested sheets for two beds only one had sheets. Decor presented in photos was gone…we thought maybe they’d given us the wrong room, but you can’t get ahold of them. No explanation for trash. Only 1 of 3 air condition units worked and opening windows was WAY too loud from street noise. This property is one we found off Marriott. As a Marriott employee I will be reporting this property to them and every social media site and review site possible. The worst place I’ve stayed ever: a disappointing way to end our holiday and I caution everyone DO NOT STAY here! I’m not sure how they get 5 stars unless they are doing it themselves. We requested a partial refund as we couldn’t cook, sleep w/no sheets, or enjoy dinner on patio (no linens as shown!). Oh, some bugs in various places…not sure what Kind but don’t leave shoes on ground if you don’t want a shock! Read more
