The description is not how I remember it). We were disappointed in a few aspects of the property, #1 being the beds - never seen beds so hard and why 6 single beds and 1 double - odd. #2 Wifi is poor, spotty and slow, #3 very loud neighbourhood with construction every day starting early in the morning, #4 the garage gate was far too narrow for us to get through given the angle of the turn coupled with the slope of the drive and the size of our vehicle (standard Merc SUV). Otherwise the condition of things is average. The house has an ant problem, far too many ants that just keep on coming back, this issue was reported but we were essentially told to deal with it ourselves. We expected a Marriott standard property with a better location relative to resort services. The house needs a written set of notes on how things work (ie. the correct wifi password and how to deal with doors that lock automatically behind you, even on e deck when you are having a swim or coffee in the morning). The jump from average to very good would not be difficult to achieve with a little more attention. An exhausting 3-hour drive was followed by difficulties in finding the property. The address provided led us astray, and the emergency line went unanswered. The host failed to send instructions to retrieve our keys from a safe box which we were unaware of. A neighboring villa's manager helped us connect with the head housekeeper, who luckily found our reservation and took us to our rental. The apartment was spacious and clean, but post-checkout, no Marriott Bonvoy points were credited, and no folio/receipt was received. Communication issues and booking agent service concerns marred our experience. Read more
