ROUGH UK Exclusive Interview With Jason Anastasinis - Managing Director of Travelstaytion

With that said, ROUGH sat down with the Managing Director of Travelstaytion Jason Anastasinis to delve into what makes this online travel platform one of the relevant travel Tours on the scene right now.

ROUGH UK: How did you create Travelstaytion? What was the original idea behind the company?

JASON ANASTASINIS: Breaking into the travel business was a good way to start. The reason is because you can base your business on referring travelers to travel companies. Travel is a “luxury pleasure” but from my point of view must be accessible to everyone. This is the idea behind Travelstaytion as a platform you will conduct your travel business to everyone. You may, for example, book all types of travel for your clients or choose a niche on which to focus. My vision was to create an easy platform where to connect and relate to hosts and guests worldwide. My idea was to create an advantageous opportunity for property owners to maximize ROI (Return on Investment) and for guests to travel more often

ROUGH UK: How difficult was to create a company in UK? Tell me about your goals for the company. There are for sure a couple of difficult things to go through for example: Bureaucracy, high taxes, police legal and the rest of things that you need to know when/where/how to build a foreign company in UK

JASON ANASTASINIS: Compared to Greece you do not face with bureaucracy and high taxes and the whole environment is more friendly. The situation was not easy at all. You need to have a plan and work hard on it. As a new company in UK you should to consider multiple factors: Political climate, economic situation, your personal knowledge of the industry, market research, languages barriers and the incorporation process. It seems a long way before to concrete your company, but these steps are necessary for your business. Nothing is impossible. What I can say about my personal experience is: Never give up!

ROUGH UK: How difficult was as a foreign young entrepreneur to set up a company in U.K?

JASON ANASTASINIS: To be honest with you, is always “difficult” to be a foreign in a different country. It can be very intense especially if you want to create a business as foreign in a foreign country. London is very competitive city and many companies want to invest in this city to make their dreams true. I believe London can be a good start for TravelStaytion and as a city centre of new ideas for people from all over the world.

ROUGH UK: Each young entrepreneur is faced with successes and failures. What lesson did you learn from your experience so far?

JASON ANASTASINIS: Businesses should educate themselves about where they've invested and how those investments are doing. The key is to understand what all of your company’s assets are, and then guard them closely and work to maximize the profits they represent. New business owners especially are nervous about marketing because money is already so tight at this stage, but you have to make the necessary effort to connect consumers to your company. You need to develop a "warrior mentality" you have to continually focus on the market and react to it. You need to understand the various aspects of business as it is more broadly defined, such as accounting, finance, business law, personnel issues, and more, and how all of these impact each other and the decisions you make. However, there are always bad times and every day failures convert you to a great problem solver.

ROUGH UK: Travelstaytion has made an impressive progress within a very short time. What are the milestones for which you are particularly proud?

JASON ANASTASINIS: The Company is based in London and it has been launched 3 years ago. Every day TraverStaytion competes with different companies. I am very happy about the results of my TravelStaytion. We have more than 20.000 proprieties Worldwide in our portfolio, we have a fantastic international team to support every single client in different languages, we are planning to create new connections with different countries for example Dubai and then we have started astrategic partnership with the Metro Daily Publishing Group, the biggest metro media platform in Hong Kong.

We have had worldwide celebrities from Asia which stayed with Travelstaytion in mid-October 2016. They spent a sweet time in our amazing properties which are located at London’s exquisite areas, Bayswater and Marylebone and this fantastic collaboration make us extremely proud of our service.
