KIRTAN 27 Mar, 2025The host was very attentive and responded promptly. The place was clean and hot water was available. We appreciate clean environment and hot water. The location was great. If I had to make any comment it is that this is located on 1st floor of Hostel. The title on the door is 'We love f*ing tourists', try explaining that to children. Overall the place is in city center, so expect some noise. Also one evening had a random stranger talking on the staircase loudly, which woke me up. Having washer AND dryer was very nice esp when the new style dryer dries pretty efficiently. Well stocked kitchen. The sink in one bathroom is extremely small and useless really for anything but washing hands (otherwise get a lot of water on the floor). Shower is a bit tight as well. The location (and view from one bedroom) made it all worth it though! Bruno in the office was also very kind when we had to store many bags for a few hours. Read moreJOHN 24 May, 2024The Bica apartment is in a great location and was very comfortable two bedroom and two-bathroom apartment. There was a lot of room to spread out and good outdoor space. It is on a quiet street and the view from the living room window was spectacular. To get that view, you need to climb 4 flights up with no elevator. Keep this in mind if you have mobility issues or lots of luggage. The location steps from the Elevador da Bica and many shops and restaurants is fantastic. I was traveling with my 85 year old mother so the only drawback was (as noted in the description and I didn’t focus on) was that cars can’t come to the door.
