WESLEY 04 Jul, 2025We asked for early check-in and only knew it was approved when I saw the charge. Knowing we were arriving early, neither the AC or water had been turned on. A handyman was sent out quickly to turn the water on and host turned the AC down to 18 C; however the unit would not stay on and the temperature inside the apartment was extremely hot. It was a hot day outside and there is only a thin panel over all the glass windows and doors. We installed the light blankets that were on the beds over the window rods to help reduce the heat. There is also no vents in the kitchen. We asked the host to provide fans but none showed up the next day. Having been gone for the next day, we anticipated coming back to to a cool apartment only to find that the AC shuts off once you open the door. Needless to say with no fans and a poorly functioning AC it was not a pleasant night of sleep. Also, one of the showers has a strange diverter for the shower. The host did send a video detailing how to operate it but it would have been nice to have instructions inside the apartment explaining the operation of this as well as the fact that the AC would not go below 18, is remotely controlled, and totally shuts off once you open the front door. I'm aware that some units will shut off if a door is left open but not that it stays off. There was no dish soap and while some shower shampoo and gels were provided, one or two were empty. While the unit and linens were clean, not having water initially or a properly functioning AC made it a miserable stay for my group of 5. Paid for an early 12 pm check in and digital key had not been activated when we got there. Apartment was cleaned and well equipped, however, the unit was hot as the AC was turned off (I too picture of it). Sleeping with windows open was really bad because of the street noise all night long. Also, shower in Master bedroom never worked. I reported it and never got an answer. Location is good, walking distance to La Rambla de Pueblo Nuevo and the beach with plenty of options for restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Read moreOLUMIDE 05 Sep, 2024This apartment should be avoided if you are traveling with kids of have heavy luggage. at no point was it mentioned on this site that access to the building has been blocked and road works may prevent access into the building( This would have been helpful in making my choice of where to stay) there was a lot of noise from the road works really doesn’t help one sleep in as every morning we’ve been awoken with the noise from the drills and construction equipment(this information would have been helpful in determining if we wanted to stay here) Apartment Access: I had a brace on my hand and I could not lift heavy luggage. I was travelling with two kids, at no point was it mentioned on the website that you have manually lift your luggage over a flight of stairs(there’s at least 20 steps) before you get to the lift that takes you up the the apartment(this is Health and safety concern for me) stating this on your website would have helped greatly as I would have avoided this apartment totally.
